ACTIVITIES
As indicated in the introduction
to the Fellowship, activities in North America will develop
as the Fellowship grows and we can engage in our own activities.
Until that time, we are happy to provde a summarization of up-coming
activities in France and other locations.
Some of the many activities
and associations that will be working in cooperation with us
and our friends in Europe will involve the following:

One annual gathering
of the « Companhons de Paratge » (Occitan history
and society through the ages)

Two annual gatherings
among various European universities [dialogues in religion,
power, and philosophy from the Middle Ages to the present]

One annual gathering
of Occitan Literature [philosophy, history, sociology, ethnology]
-
One annual Week of
Sacred and Secular Music and Chant of Medieval Europe
-
Reactivation of the
intercultural group known as « Maïmonide-Averroès-Lull
» [gatherings among the various religious and non-religious
traditions in Toulouse]
-
One annual Week of
Naive Arts focusing on the theme of Occitan culture through
the ages
-
Publication of the
semi-annual journal called Agora Néa
focusing on research in Occitania: historiography, archaeology,
philosophy, theology, sociology, ethnology, literature,
etc. As well as an annual press conference and gathering.
